Poppy's Office

A cozy speakeasy with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, vintage memorabilia, framed photographs, and checkered flooring.
Every shelf tells a story at this hidden speakeasy.

Imagine yourself walking into Dumbledore's library only to then see one of the bookshelves open up revealing one of the most intimate and vintage speakeasies. That's what Poppy's Office is like. My favorite drink on the menu is the "Silver Fox", probably the best old fashioned I've ever had at any place here in Arizona...

Gin and Reel

Ever wondered what lurks beyond a telephone booth? Look for the hidden payphone inside The Stir Coffee Bar in Phoenix...Push back the telephone wall and you'll find you've traveled back in time! Gin and Reel creates a modern take on 1920's prohibition-era ambiance- their bartenders are decked out in flapper dresses, walls are lined with photos of 1920's actors and actresses and the lounging is intimate and personable.

Cocktail spotlight: We're going with bartender's choice for this one! This speakeasy is known for their perfectly handcrafted cocktails tailored to your preference by their creative and accommodating bartenders.

The cherry on top of Bar 1912’s allure lies within their display of jazzy and classy vinyl records, which are used as their only source of in-house music!

Tip to find entrance: The inconspicuous entrance to Bar 1912 is nestled within Valentine, a restaurant doting Southwestern cuisine, under an exit sign and through what appears to be a cooler door...

Cocktail spotlight: Utilizing local spirits and ingredients, Bar 1912 tips their hat to the 5 C’s of Arizona: Copper, cattle, cotton, citrus, and climate. The “Cattle Cocktail” is a Southwestern spin on a Manhattan featuring fat washed, bone marrow infused whiskey and tequila paired with mesquite smoke and vermouth.

Pigtails Downtown

A hidden gem in Downtown Phoenix, Pigtails Downtown pairs fresh oysters with unexpected flair.

Oysters! Oysters! Located next to Coabana, a Cuban restaurant on Central and Washington in Downtown Phoenix, the hidden entrance to Pigtails is beyond the door of a kitchen....there you'll be welcomed by ambient lighting, a live lush greenery-filled wall encompassing the back bar and a taxidermy javelina's head! A fresh, raw oyster bar can be found along with shrimp ceviche and craft cocktails.

Tip to Find Entrance: Outside suite 128, you'll find a black A-line sign doting a pig and within the suite, above aforementioned kitchen door, buzzes a neon pink sign reading "Cocktails".

Cocktail Spotlight: Cupid's Dagger- this cool, refreshing cocktail stars 400 Conejos, peach, strawberry, lime and orange with Noyaux and smoke for a sweet yet sassy cocktail that keeps calling us back!

Melinda's Alley

At first glance, it's just a mural. Look a little closer and you'll find the entrance to one of Phoenix's best kept speakeasies!

Ever wonder what hides beyond a giant mural? Behind this one, tucked beside the Renaissance hotel on Central and Adams in Downtown Phoenix, you'll find Melinda's Alley, a red-lit speakeasy where the first rule is to "Speak easy...it's the only way to hear Melinda."

Bold and quirky Stardust Pinbar is the laid-back speakeasy that celebrates the spirit of David Bowie.

Your dreams of dancing on the Club Penguin dance floor can finally come true! Stardust Pinbar, a David Bowie inspired speakeasy, hides within Ziggy's Magic Pizza Shop behind a freezer door.Inside is illuminated by a colorful dance floor and vintage pinball machines you can play with quarters. This speakeasy embodies fun and games with a lively crowd, upbeat music and specialty cocktails!

Platform 18 at Century Grand

A speakeasy designed as a replica of a 1927 Pullman train car with art deco decor, including gold lamps on each small table, blue velvet seating, and wine glasses hanging above a small bar. A moving skyline is shown on the windows and the servers are dressed as conductors.
All aboard Platform 18! Experience the luxury of a bygone era in this 1920s-inspired train car speakeasy.

Travel back in time on a journey from Phoenix to New York City in the year 1924! Platform 18 is shrouded in class, sophistication and glamour within a stunning replica of a 1927 Pullman train car with beautiful art deco decor. A moving skyline is featured on the windows, completely tying together the ambiance. Keep in mind, the theme changes every few months, so you never know what journey you may experience next. Servers are even dressed as conductors!

Cocktail spotlight: "A Fight a Night" is inspired by gangster speakeasy owner Owney Madden. Crafted with whiskey and bourbon, the cocktail is elevated with bay leaf, thyme, carrot and celery- perfectly paired with a side of chips.

Undertow at Century Grand

Come sail away at Undertow! This speakeasy will have you feeling like a true pirate.

Ever dream of being a pirate or spice trader in the 19th century? Undertow allows you to do just that within the dimly lit hull of a clipper ship! Like Platform 18, Undertow has porthole windows showcasing moving oceanic scenery to fully immerse you into your adventure across the sea. The tiki decor, mythical foggy atmosphere and nautical themed cocktails are right out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie!

Filled with plants, the most recent theme will make you feel like you're in Alice in Wonderland amongst glowing mushrooms and magical trees!

No wardrobe required- this speakeasy brings the enchantment of Narnia straight to Arizona!

Looking for the perfect wonderland straight out of Narnia? Look no further than Idle Hands! You can find this speakeasy hidden inside Devil's Hideaway, a bar on Mill avenue, beyond a mural of a woman holding a bottle of Absinthe. A glowing purple aura fills the room, tables are adorned with candles and an animated fairy wonderland scene dances along the walls. Such a magical ambiance!

The elegance and charm of The White Rabbit speakeasy is just what the doctor ordered...

Password, please! Welcome to Arizona's original speakeasy. This doctor's office speakeasy is hidden in the basement of the Heritage Court Building in downtown Gilbert! Make sure you have the password. The White Rabbit is embellished with sophisticated decor; chandeliers hang from the ceiling, booths are cloaked in purple velvet and clusters of vintage photos and bottles adorn the walls.

Tip to find entrance: Spot the red light along the staircase on the side of the building. You'll find the door (a hidden bookcase!) to enter at the end of a narrow hall. The door knob is a rabbit - so cute!

Covert tunnels, exclusive entrances and secrets galore - The Ostrich is a speakeasy with history like no other...You can find The Ostrich in the basement of Crust, an Italian restaurant, in Chandler. Originally founded in 1912, this speakeasy welcomed famous guests and is still surrounded by secret tunnels! Nowadays, you'll find a giant ostrich statue, sleek retro decor, and a wall decked out in framed celebrity photos.

Tough Luck Club

Beneath a former mortuary resides one of Tucson's most memorable bars.

Ever wanted to drink in a mortuary? Tough Luck Club resides in the basement of Reilly Craft, occupying what was once the building's embalming room. Spot the door on the far right of the restaurant and descend into a hidden cocktail bar filled with stone walls, exposed wood beams, and moody lighting. Equal parts cozy and mysterious, this speakeasy embraces it's unusual history while serving up creative cocktails in one of Tucson's most unique bars.

London calling! Bisbee Social Club brings British charm, craft cocktails and a touch of the paranormal to Southern Arizona.

Craving a taste of London in Southern Arizona? Head down to this basement speakeasy on Bisbee’s main street. Keep an eye out for the red light, which will lead you down a flight of stairs to a mysterious red door. It's said that a secret knock upon the entry door will grant you good luck from ghosts! Inside, you'll find neon lights, eclectic decor, a classic red telephone booth, and free games. Enjoy live music, burlesque and snap a picture in the photo booth—your memories are uploaded to their website!
